Day 26 – Help Save Liberty Denim

Today we awoke in Liberty, SC to meet with Liz Havlin, Executive Director of WearUSA. Liz has been passionate about restoring one of the four denim mills left in the USA. Josh was inspired to hear about the story because he could relate to what happens to a town when massive job losses occur.
The Liberty Denim factory has been closed since December 2011 and is now in bankruptcy proceedings. Liz Havlin hopes to buy the factory back and restore the jobs lost to the workers of Liberty Denim.
